The Missionary Institute of St Patrick is an independent movement and seeks to reconnect people to the deeper reality and tradition of the richness of the Celtic - Christian experience of faith.
In blending the Celtic and Christian tradition it seeks to help and offer support in the cycles of life dealing with transitions and grief and loss.
The Institute works in the area of healing and reconciliation and seeks to draw from the rich spiritual experience of various traditions giving a deep understanding of the process of healing.
The work of the institute is to foster healing in the community. This is achieved by offering seminars and workshops on meditation, mindfulness, retreats, healing of memories, transition support and counselling, psychotherapy. Training is offered in these fields to enhance people in their various aspects of this work.

Rev Dr James Kinane
Rev Dr James Kinane is the prior of the Missionary Institute of St Patrick and is an ordained priest.
His work includes developing the connection between Celtic and Christian faith experience centered within the Celtic monastic tradition.
Healing emerges as a key focus and the Missionary Institute seeks to explore this drawing from the Celtic Christian experience of the fourth century .
The Institute offers a variety of healing services within its ministry, amongst which is Dreamwork.
Dr Kinane has a keen interest in dreamwork, having worked in the USA with the Native American Indians. Thereby he gives workshops and retreats exploring the importance of this work in our lives.
Dr Kinane holds a PhD in the process of reconciliation within the Christian - Celtic church of the Fourth century.


The Missionary Institute of St. Patrick is authorised to perform legally recognised religious weddings in Ireland. Based on your beliefs, ceremonies can occur at various venues nationwide or in privately owned churches attached to hotels. They are conducted in a religious setting, independent of any denomination.
